Clinical Assessment Team (CAT)

The Clinical Assessment Team (CAT) was set up at the end of 2021 as part of the ongoing response to Covid-19, initially as a home visiting service to be able to act as doctors' eyes and ears for those patients too unwell to come into the surgery and has evolved to become much more.

The team is staffed with Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Paramedics), and First Contact Practitioner (Paramedics) and has grown over time to include our Home Visiting Service and develop our Neighbourhood Care Centre (NCC) and Spirometry service (a diagnostic procedure for asthma and COPD) for much of West Kent.
